Version 1.7.0 published

Oct 18 2024

I’m happy to publish a new version for the classical Tablecruncher 1.x line. As development for version 2 takes longer than expected, I’ve decided to improve the current versions while working on the shiny new application.

Version 1.7 introduces compatibility with macOS Sequoia (macOS 15) and brings several enhancements to improve usability. Lots of users asked to implement an Open Recent file list and to be able to change fonts, both features are now available in this new release.

Starting with this version 1.7, binaries for Apple Silicon and Intel platforms are offered seperately. This allows to support older macOS versions on Intel. Please be sure to download the correct version for your platform.

New Features

  • Feature: Compatible with macOS Sequoia (macOS 15)
  • Feature: A list of recently opened files is shown in the File menu
  • Feature: Select a font for the CSV table display
  • Feature: ‘Arrange Columns’ to adapt column sizes to content
  • Feature: Shift-Click a cell header to select multiple columns
  • Feature: Several UI improvements

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed: Enlarging a selection by shift-clicking a cell didn’t always work as expected.
  • Fixed: Some smaller bugs
